Gothic Summertime

  • Dress - eBay here - £7
  • Lace top - charity shop - £3?
  • Socks - Topshop
  • Boots - Rokit (the smallest Brick Lane one) - £20 ish
So here’s this adorable dress I found on eBay while looking for a plain black t-shirt dress! As you probably know, I love absolutely anything with daisies on and I just had to get this. (Luckily I’d made a bit of money selling stuff from a huge wardrobe clear out so I could treat myself to a few new items. I’ve got loads of stuff still for sale, please have a look here. Tons more to be added tomorrow as I brought back clothes I’d left at home too - I’ve got to cut down on clothes!) Anyway, I thought I’d pair the dress with this lacy black top for a little gothic detail and chunky  vintage boots. It is allegedly summertime here in England but the clouds disagree.

Clashing Cat Prints

  • Jeans - Miss Anna - eBay - £6.15, incl p&p
  • Shirt - vintage (charity shop)
  • Creepers - TK Maxx - £17
Just a quick post here, I was rushing off to Bristol to model a haircut by Toni & Guy for their show with clothes from London Fashion Week - yes, after a two year break, I found myself getting my hair done on a stage once more! I’m pretty sure I started this outfits blog after I quit being a hair model but if anyone remembers far back to my previous personal blog, then you’ll know the crazy stuff Sassoon did to my hair! (If anyone reading this blog has followed me long enough through my various stages of deleting because of anon abuse and stuff to remember that then that’s amazing and I honestly can’t thank you enough for being so lovely!)
Anyway, here I’ve just thrown on some old favourites, grey-black skinnies, creepers and this amazing vintage shirt under my leather jacket. In the next post you’ll see what Toni & Guy did to my hair!

90s Girl

  • Dungarees - Beyond Retro (Calvin Klein)
  • Top - auntie’s wardrobe (Wallis)
  • Belt - auntie’s
  • Socks - H&M
  • Shoes - Dr Martens (eBay)
  • Barbour jacket - Bath vintage market
Well today was all grim and rainy, but it stopped long enough to take these pictures on the way to browse in some local charity shops. Today’s hair is stolen from Coco’s girlfriend in The Acid House - the crazy colourful poster is inspiring enough for 90s style. I wanted to contrast the slightly jungle-explorer dungarees with something a bit glam and this old black and white lace poloneck t-shirt from the depths of my auntie’s wardrobe seemed perfect - I’ve inherited so many awesome things from her (like the daisy maxi dress from a few days ago).

Little Black Dress

  • Dress - eBay here
  • Leggings - eBay here
  • Socks - Primark
  • Creepers - eBay
  • Shirt - charity shop
Well this is pretty much all eBayed! I wanted a plain black t-shirt dress to wear with different patterned leggings and shoes, then I thought it looked a bit too plain and put the white shirt underneath. I will definitely be wearing this dress with loads of different items, it’s so comfy and versatile.

Blood Socks

  • Jacket - Brick Lane vintage market - £35
  • Tee - Romwe - eBay - £7.60 incl p&p
  • Skirt - USC
  • Socks - Topshop
  • DMs - vintage shop on Brick Lane - £45
Ah, my sweet little shed in the background! My brother didn’t even sleep in there over the weekend so I could have had a couple of nights in there again for old times sake but it is very strange going in there and it not being filled with my books and all my things…I do miss it so. I’ll have another shed one day. Yesterday was so hot, I didn’t even need this leather jacket until the evening! Black probably wasn’t too good a choice but denim and tees are so comfy for the summer. When I get back to Bath I’ll have to choose colours more wisely. I’m just obsessed with these blood socks though, I want to wear them with everything, summer or no summer.

Crochet & Daisies

  • Dress - auntie’s (Jeffrey Rogers)
  • Creepers - eBay - 99p
  • Shrug - charity shop (George at Asda) - 99p
Black dress and white crotchet for a very hot day! Yes, I’m back in London for a family wedding and it is boiling hot. I know I shouldn’t have been wearing black but I am in love with this vintage dress by Jeffrey Rogers - found in my auntie’s wardrobe. The crochet shrug was from a charity shop in Stowmarket for the grand price of 99p, which is what I paid for the creepers on eBay too - so the whole outfit was less than £2!

Motel Haul

  • Dress & jumper - Motel
  • Shoes & tights - eBay
This is an outfit from a couple of weeks ago in London. My friend Philippa got me (and also herself and two other of our friends!) this stripy cropped jumper and this sheer skater dress from Motel. I can’t wait for the next time the four of us are together so we can all wear the jumper and be matching! We’ll look like a girl gang or something. The shoes are from eBay as usual and I found the tights on eBay too.

Red Docs & Dungas

  • Ice cream shirt - Motel sample sale - £5
  • Dungarees - USC - around £20
  • Dr Martens - eBay - around £20
  • Lace socks - Primark
It’s warm today! It’s also my boyfriend’s birthday and I have play rehearsals all afternoon, so I won’t be able to enjoy beers in the park with him sadly. Saturday better be nice too so I can make it up to him. I’m wearing dungarees I bought from a highstreet shop for once - most things I get from the highstreet I see as investment pieces I can wear with lots of different things as I don’t shop there very often. The shirt I’ve had for ages - my friend Philippa works for Motel so she always knows when their sample sales will be on and I got this shirt at one of them for a fiver! DMs from eBay, of course. I can’t afford new ones and I prefer to get them second hand as they’ve already been worn in a bit. Also it’s very hard to find size 5.5 so eBay is a huge help for finding specific sizes.

Honey Bunny Jacket

  • Jacket - Levi’s (customised) - gift
  • Skirt - charity shop - £3 ish
  • Tee - my dad’s
Along with the floral granny dress from yesterday, I also altered this crazy skirt from a charity shop that I’d picked up for a couple of quid - ankle length and twice as wide as all the elastic had gone from the waistband. An absolute pain and it’s definitely one of the scruffiest bits of sewing I’ve ever done but I just love the spotty/strawberry/flowery print. One of my parents’ friends makes designer biker gear and this is one of their tees - I seem to always end up with bike shirts that my dad accumulates! The vintage Levi’s jacket bears my spraypaint-and-Tippex attempt at recreating Christopher Owens’ jacket which can be seen in Girls’ Honey Bunny video. I think I did ok. Can you see my Yoda necklace?

Purple & Blue Granny Florals

  • Leather jacket - vintage market - £35
  • DMs - Brick Lane vintage shop - £45
  • Dress - East End Thrift Store - £1.20
  • Tights - H&M - unknown
Another outfit post! Hallelujah, I actually have a camera again and it is such a relief not to be relying on my iPod Touch for everything. I picked up this dress from one of my favourite shops ever, the East End Thrift Store which is right down the road from my house in London. I went back this Easter and came out with tons of great items. This dress was ankle length and I spent yesterday taking up and taking in a whole load of crazy granny dresses on my sewing machine. Wearing it with my trusty purple DMs, leather jacket and glittery tights from H&M.
